DCMS international strategy
DCMS has launched its new international sport strategy outlining its policies and objectives on the European and international scene.
DCMS and the Minister for Sport have been visibly active in European affairs and, having succeeded in promoting the interests of sport in the UK at the European level, have now created an international strategy to formalise their thoughts and help set the agenda for sport in Europe.
The strategy is very welcome, having been written in close consultation with sport for the benefit of the sector. The strategy clarifies the Government’s positions on a variety of hot-topics such as home-grown players: players agents; financial regulation and licensing; betting and integrity; anti-doping; physical activity; training of young people; intellectual property rights and anti- racism.
